Process & Spirit

Learn The King's Ginger making process

The King’s Ginger is made for Berry Bros. & Rudd in Schiedam, Holland by a 300 year old family owned business and largest producer of cocktail liqueurs in the world.

Fresh Ginger

Fresh Ginger Root is sourced from the best origins around the world and is shredded into tiny pieces.

Steeped in water

The ginger is then collected in pillowcase like cotton bag and steeped in water overnight.

Flavour Combination

The ginger is then macerated in a ground tank with neutral spirit for 4 weeks.

Italian lemon

Lemon oil distillate, made by steeping lemon oil in water and neutral spirit, is then added to ginger.

Finally Bottled

Finally, sugar is added to the mix, and the liquid is bottled to create the ultimate revivifier!

Our Spirit

A refreshingly revivifying high-strength liqueur (41%) to be appreciated on its own as well as in any number of cocktails and long drinks. To be enjoyed in company all year round.

The Nose

An instantly warming aroma of ginger, zesty lemon, sherbet and golden syrup.

The Palate

Initial sweetness followed by bite of ginger and lemon tart. Deliciously satisfying and warming mouthfeel.

The Finish

Lingering and extremely long.

"Opulently and sublimely gingery. It is quite simply the finest of winter warmers and post-prandial digestifs." - Jonathan Ray - The Telegraph
